DISCIPLESHIP DIGEST AUGUST 2012 EDITION
Historically, the month of August was named after Emperor Augustus Caesar (a grand nephew of Julius Caesar) after he defeated Marc Anthony and Cleopatra. He then became the Emperor of Rome and the Roman Senate decided to name the eight month of the year after him. The senate also decided that since Julius’ month, July had 31 days, Augustus’s month, August should equal it; to prevent anyone claiming that superior Augustus was named after an inferior month that had less than 31 days. August then became a victory month.
It’s my prayer that in this month of victory, all enemies warring against your destiny will be defeated in Jesus name. Every mountain that stands between you and you’re your divine purpose in life shall crumble. Every door that the enemy had shut against your progress shall be opened. All the mockeries of unfriendly friends in your life shall be overturned.
The Lord is a strong Man of war. It does not matter how many battles Satan wins, God will win the war, if you do not give up. He that helped Emperor Augustus Caesar to defeat Marc Anthony and all his warring faction shall fight your battle; in the day and in the night, from the seen and from unseen. The Lord shall contend with those who contend with you and fight against those who fight against you.
